Calls for Revolution Continue in Iran

The Arab states are not the only places where revolution is spreading. Could it be that only governments we want changed are getting covered in the American press?These from our friends in Iran.
Tehran- Feb.1, 2011. A group of students in Mashhad called for protest gathering against the clerical dictatorship in Melat Park of Mashhad on Feb. 3. The call says in part: Is our homeland Iran going to be enchained for ever…now Tunisia, Egypt and…are gaining their rights … so we cry ‘Iran shall not be destroyed, it is worth much more’.” These students also called for nightly protests (cry of Allah O Akbar) at 8 pm the same day.

Tehran- Feb.1, 2011. A group of students of Tehran University called for protest gatherings on Feb. 3. A part of this call says: “the will of Iranian nation has been proved times and again, then why should we kneel to a dictator regime that has executed close to 90 people in less than a month and tortures political prisoners and plunders the assets of this nation? Silence does not suit us. We started the uprising and taught it to the world so we must finish it…In that regard we will have a protest gathering on Thursday Feb. 3 in Tehran from Enghelab to Azadi Squares….

Tehran- Feb.1, 2011. A call reads as: “in protest against the recent executions/ in support of all the political and belief prisoners/ and to warn the rulers that they should wait the day of the wrath of Iranian nation, we cry our voices of freedom on 22 pm to show the rulers how many we are, the suggested slogans are: Allah O Akbar/ death to dictator/ referendum, referendum this is people’s slogan/ long live Iran …
Feb.1, 2011. The call reads in part: “Our people have cried for freedom at any chance they got but these despotic rulers have stepped up their suppression…The ruling Establishment well knows that the situation is the fire under ashes and it will flame by the slightest wind; the reason they are so horrified. Our people are drowning in poverty and unemployment after subsidy cuts, people’s discontent of this regime is at its pick. To silence the protest this anti-human regime has executed 90 people in less than a month…The Committee of Free Teachers of Iran cals on all compatriots to gather on Feb.3 in protest in all main streets and Squares of the cities. We will unit and we will cry ‘death to dictator’.
Feb.1, 2011. The call reads in part: “…while the freedom loving consciences of Tunisia, Egypt and other Arab countries are awakened, uprisings and popular protests are shaking the dictatorships.
The world heard the voice of freedom seeking Iranians last year. It is now time to once more cry against despotism and tyranny…. We call on all guilds to rise and along with brave youths and other sectors of the society demonstrate against the dictatorship in Iran on Thursday Feb. 4 at 3 pm in the main streets and squares.
Tehran- Feb.2, 2011. An eyewitness: Tehran 12 noon
From the morning all the streets ending to Ehghelab Sq. and Tehran University are closed. Regime has deployed all its forces from all organs to the streets. About 200 SSF vans are stationed in all by streets and main streets from Keshavarz Blvd. to Enghelab. Especial guard forces are maneuvering in the streets and Bassijies and Plainclothes are patrolling in groups of 50 t0 100 in the sidewalks.
Bassiji women holding flags are marching and SSF is to marching from Enghelab to Azadi. Regime’s wants to boast his power confronting the calls for uprising for Feb. 3
Feb.1, 2011. Water and Electricity Enterprise intends to change the counter of homes though they are still working but it will charge the residents for that. The government has deposited 40,000 tomans as subsidy money for people but it is taking much more away under different excuses.

Reports received say that bread consumption has drastically decreased after subsidy cuts. A baker said: “before subsidy cuts we used 1200 tons of flour in a month, now we use 700 tons and our income has decreased a lot. In this situation we are forced to decrease the wage of our workers and to decrease our expenditure we have to bake bread with poor quality. Several bakeries are closing”.
Tehran- Feb.1, 2011. The price of clothing including Lee pants and T-shirts has risen. People are shocked of the prices at a time so near to the New Year. Many people cannot pay for such prices and they are so disappointed and ashamed in front of their families.
Tehran- Feb.1, 2011. Due to sanctions Lastive shoe polish has become rare.
Feb.1, 2011. Due to international sanctions the clerical regime had to cancel the first trip of its new Foreign Minister. On Saturday Jan. 29, regime’s official sources announced that only a few hours after Salehi was endorsed by the parliament he left Tehran towards Ethiopia. Bur only a few hours later regime’s media announced that his trip is canceled and claimed that the reason was that his schedule was too full. On Sunday Foreign Ministry’s spokesman, Mihmanparast without pointing to this defeat protested Salehi’s name being in the list of EU’s sanction and said: “having in mind the new responsibility of Salehi as the Foreign Minister even that illegal endorsement of Security Council must be counted as not valid.
On Thursday at 13:30 two brave youths climbed the arched status of Enghelab Square (in Tehran) amid heavy snowing and in answer to the call for public protest gathering they hold each others hands and cried ‘death to dictator’. The crowd present in the square applauded these to brave youths that broke the atmosphere of horror that regime has imposed on the city since yesterday. People are ready to fight the religious fascism.
