Morocco: AQIM cell dismantled in Western Sahara

In a statement issued on Tuesday night, the Moroccan Interior Ministry announced that a terrorist cell consisting of 27 members had been dismantled in Amghala, Western Sahara. One of the terrorists arrested is already known to be a member of Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM). Reportedly, the cell was preparing suicide attacks against Moroccan security forces, had planned robberies to finance its activities and intended as well to recruit volunteers to undergo training in terrorist camps located in Mali and Algeria.
