Egyptian Police Joining Protests
If true, this report could spell the beginning of the end for Hosni Mubarak’s rule of Egypt. Police have been struggling to control the protests agains the regime the last several days and it now appears that some elements may even be joining them. With the arrest of ElBaradei and reports of beatings of his followers, this comes as another escalation. With the Muslim Brotherhood involved as well, the Egyptian army may be foced into supporting or deposing Mubarak. It is possible that the army will open fire on protesters, as Tunisian dictator Ben Ali ordered before the army removed him from office. The next 24-48 could be the breakingpoint
